Berlin - where to go?

I'm thinking about organising a weekend away for me and my mates to the home of Techno.

Does anyone live there or been there and can recommend any hotels/clubs to go to?

We've seen a hotel in Mitte, Berlin City Centre. Not sure if that's the place to be or not?

Hey mate, couple years ago, I'd spent a weekend in Berlin. Among others we made a stopover at www.tresorberlin.com. Techno club with longstanding history. If you like your sound with attitude, then that should be worth a visit. But I think they moved location since then, so on that I can't comment. In addition, www.berghain.de quickly established a strong international reputation. That I'd definitely visit if I went to Berlin now.

But maybe someone from Berlin is on this forum to provide some further insight.

Should you end up going, have a good trip!
