How do you get feedback on your new tracks? I find its hard to get good feedback on my new tracks. My friends that make music mostly ask me for advice. And most forums I visit are not good to post new tracks.
So maybe there are way's I don't know about ... of maybe you could tell how you get your feedback :D

Thanks!
Glenn

Dude it is a problem, definately for us who are amateurs.

But I really think that new tracks that don't get feedback in a public forum simply aren't good enough for people to write anything about. No-one really wants to be hurtfully honest and so it is much easier to say nothing rather than slate someone's hard work that doesn't cut it.

I guess I am like most people, I would rather hear 'sorry mate, that's a pile of S**t...' rather than 0 replies.

However If your track gets people moving and shows promise, people will leave feedback.

Although this probably doesn't help you I'm afraid..... sorry.

Well that is not it in my opinion. Even good quality tracks don't get feedback  I posted a track that is released next month on Outland Records. And John Digweed played tracks I produced. I'm not saying I'm the pro or something ... but quality could not be the problem. I think its overload on internet. The best thing to do is find a few producers around your own level and skills. But that is easier said then done

Hey Volt, you obviously have way more experience than me - fair play.

For you quality is probably not the issue (Digweed playing your tune is testament to this), however for people not yet at the releasing stage I do think that quality does have something to do with it. Some tracks this forum have 30 views and 0 replies while some have 40 views and 5 replies.

I guess most people have a 'test' group of friends that they use for feedback before they place tracks on a public forum - as you said.

So how did you get critical feedback before your releases if not online?

A test group would be really great yesss :)

On the track I was talking about I didn't get feedback ... well the label approved it to release is also feedback :D And that is really great off course. Butt I guess with some good feedback from 'clean ears' I can make them even better :)
