Fao d.ramirez.spam warning to my private messages?

I was sent a private message at 02.50 this morning by a Ernest Travino stating that spam has been detected from my computer?

I think this might be spam itself so i dont want to forward it through incase i make things worse. Its something yourself or Admin8 need to be aware of though i think...

Has anyone else had this message??

yeah, I had a pm too - I banned before I saw this thread sorry!

So the person has been banned - which is good.

We need to set up a system to restrict that kind of spamming. I know on some other boards they have a system in which you can only send PMs if you have X amount of posts. Allot of spammers find a way around that though.

We could explicitly turn PM off?

As always, the message is the same as it would be for your personal e-mails: Don't click on links or attachments from someone you don't know. Even if it's someone you DO know, think twice about it if you weren't expecting the message.

So a few people have had that then..ive deleted aswell - bloody spammers!!
