If you’re like most people, you probably find yourself using the word “should” a lot these days. If you feel like your suggestions are falling on deaf ears, they don’t have to be.

"Ask and yee shall recieve" is our motto - and even though we might not be able to grant everyone of your wishes - we will definitely take the best suggestions and implement them here.

Anyone can make suggestions about anything and suggest until you’re blue in the face. You can also make comments, agree or disagree with other suggestions, and vote on the likelihood that a certain suggestion will be carried out.

We truly value your input and we want this community to be built by YOU the individual.

So come on tell us what you want?

My first suggestion...its more like a complain..the Quick Reply box doesnt work :p:p

Second one: If possible..one day..a video from Dean in the studio explaining how he did a track or making a new one. I know he allready did In the Studio for FM, but a more recent one would be great :D

Third one: Set on fire all the computers that send the spam Bots into forums

How about a "general" mastering tutorial? I know it's different for every song, but for us bedroom producers who can't send off tracks to the labels engineer, a few tips, or things to watch out for might be nice.

we have actually just been filming a music production how to video with mr. ramirez at a music production school in LA called icon collective. it is a 6 part video - each piece being about 20-25 mins and it walks you through how to create a track.

the episodes are going out with futuremusic magazine every month for 6 months starting in june (i think) - but once a month is up we will be putting them up here in the forum.

it walks through everything in creating a track and goes into a fair bit of detail.

thanks for clearing up the quick reply issue - i will look into the other quick reply box not working.

the video tutorial that d. ramirez has just been working on - doesnt cover mastering - but it does covers the mix down. a very important phase of track production.

mastering is something that dean would like to cover in a tutorial / and is on the cards for the future - but even he gets his tracks mastered at a mastering house.

I have a suggestion. You have so many musicians/producers on this forum, you should do some challenges. You set up a challenge to make a song in a certain style or remix a track or make so many songs in a given time. It could be fun

hi
what about choosing one track of d.ramirez (maybe the next slave release or even a ramirez classic) and make a competition.
winner should at least get a release and maybe a nice price.
but please don't make people pay for the remix parts
that is so lame >> e.g. beatport...

I like the idea of doing a remix competition of one of my tracks! You're right, it could be a new track one or an old one - that we will have to decide. For the winner there would be a prize of some sort and it could even get released. Great idea -)

why not let the forum decide
you could pick 2 or even more tracks that are possible to be remixed and the users get to vote for the final track that will be the remix competition.
